I am an avid listener of BBC Radio One, especially the Chris Moyles Show. It’s not that I do not listen to danish radiostations – I do listen to P3 Sporten, De sorte Spejdere, Giro 413 and P1 at times. Mostly the music profiles do not appeal to me, I find them boring and the DJs irritating, but that is another story.
Today two weeks of celebrating Radio Ones 40th Anniversary started. Chris Moyles had a fabulous show this morning, bringing back The Golden Hour, meaning he played songs first from1987 and then from the 1967-2007 period.
This evening the first guest DJ had his show. And what better way than to start with an hour with Paul McCartney playing music he loves. I love the Beatles and everything related to them (Live and Let Die is one of my favorite Bond-songs). It would be wrong to review the show, what I will do instead is to write down the playlist of the show.
1. Be Bop a Lula – Gene Vincent; 2. God Only Knows – The Beach Boys; 3. Hey Jude – The Beatles; 4. Little Bear – the Guillemots; 5. Everything in its Right Place – Radiohead; 6.
